this might come off as elitist, but his orchestration is a bit odd. It's fine for what this is, but certain choices for instrumentation just stick out as amateurish and without much guiding structure, especially for brass, there it is most noticeable. But that is fine, this is no symphony, just a fun project, for someone without training in classical orchestration this is alright.

there is not much that can be learned from my comment other than learn classical orchestration, because there isn't any one simple fix. To make tasteful orchestral music it takes serious dedication to learn the orchestral tradition, then to innovate on top of that in a way that isn't tacky is very difficult. Which is why I say it is fine for what he made, because only if someone really likes classical music would they put in the effort to learn this style, which is not everyone.

Tsmt. That said, I'd be surprised if Massa had any classical training himself. Coco and Naar Huis don't exactly scream dominant-tonic resolution, and even Ik Ben Het Maar's verse is full of dissonances. Of course, that's not to say the soundtrack is BAD; it just doesn't follow classical voice leading or harmony o algo

Thanks for liking it, and true this is in my opinion a huge rush job. This was made off hand while working on other stuff and if I put more effort into it and actually learned how to compose classical the right way, it would sound less like shit, but alas, there is so much music school teaches you.
