Yuri is a pathetic miserable loser creep, she can't love but only obey. It's not the real love. To love someone one needs to love oneself. She does not. She's empty inside because she's a self-hating freak, all your affection to her is completely carnal. If you need a lifeless toy instead of a living person, then desire what you want. I've warned you, fool.
>>8132
What the fuck does TLC even stand for
Besides, she's a mentally ill freak so it speaks for itself
You're boasting your self-righteousness and forgetting that love is not a sacrifice per se, it may bring such fruits as it, but is not it. When love becomes a burden, it's no longer love.
you may be onto something
but love is a burden that we take on gladly, that's what you're wrong about. it's serving the ones you love, your country, your ideals, faith, everything you care about. commitment is sacrifice, you know. for example (this is the most obvious one), people think childbearing is a burden (it is) and that is why fertility rates have plummeted and the west will fall because of that. it's the mentality, zaryan
>the ones you love
i dont love anyone and the only ones that love me are my parents and thats because they legally have to keep me alive
>your country
my country wants me dead and replaced with a nigger
>your ideals
nonsense
>faith
opiate of the masses
>everything you care about
is already dead and ruined
>>8138
You don't understand what I mean by the burden
The burden I referred to is something that is forcibly imposed by one to another
These two, Sayori and Yuri, clearly feel like they are mistakes and should have never been around
The love they may feel to anyone is considered wrong by them, they don't feel right about it
If you want to forcibly impose what they fear on them, you will get only a terrifying outcome
You don't know how it feels to be someone whom the sacrifice is being made for, but I know
The "forbidden feelings" experienced by the girls (and not only them, ahem) lead them to become frustrated beyond imagination, let me repeat it, they don't believe they are worthy of being paid attention to, and this impression of worthlessness only grows over time, becoming insufferable
if you will force their own worldview to face the "reality" (by which I imply your or anyone's supposed love to them), this will cause a cognitive dissonance resulting into a complete hatred of everything and life in particular, and I highly doubt you want to lead them hate their own existence even more than they can
It's unbearable to be the one who is taken care of, because it will persuade you into thinking you're an evil, bad person, who is only able to take away, giving nothing in return
It's a great pain to live in conviction that you only "harm" the one you truly, genuinely love
There's no actual cure of that. That's over. I've been living like this for years and you must trust me.
>if you will force their own worldview to face the "reality" (by which I imply your or anyone's supposed love to them), this will cause a cognitive dissonance resulting into a complete hatred of everything and life in particular
elaborate
that is actually a big part of the salvation remake mod. and now yeah I do understand what you meant, it's despair. and yes it's not the right method to just approach depressed people like that. but, on the other hand, being subtle and gentle and living by example can do many things, it's like radiating, show don't tell. and time will tell if the person will change.

Do not believe your thoughts, neither when they tell you that you are terrible, nor when they tell you that you are a saint
>>8139
I guess every generation till now lived for nothing, worked for nothing, bled for nothing, hoped for nothing.
I'll pray for your wellbeing, it's what I can realistically do
I haven't changed, thus, NO ONE VVILL. Kidding here a little, hah. Anyways, what if my thoughts match my sincere opinion? I do really have some sort of criteria to judge and my conclusions are barely shakable.
lmk if salvation is any good
it's a quote so now I'll have to adapt it to your question
"thoughts" are basically a mindset, if I understood correctly. it's talking about despair and egoism (which are two sides of the same coin, very interesting, I was surprised when I read about it)
and I don't doubt you have conclusions because, I mean, you have a mind geg it's never gonna stop thinking
in that case a good natured open-minded debate would be good, to settle different thoughts. or at least read a book by some, let's say in my case, saints, with the questions you have in mind.
I don't want to sound cliche or anything but you could call an Orthodox priest (or through email, depends) to have a chat about existential questions. clergy's more experienced than me for sure.
>>8145
the zaryan a few posts above said it well, you can't love others if you don't love yourself. it's assuming the love (sacrifice) is proper, otherwise it's not real love
>>8146
yes issa gemerald so far, I played a good bit of it
the beginning really got me
I might tell you about the rest if you want to, when I get to it, or not because of spoilers
I'm myself religious of some sort, my views on salvation and the rest stuff are more like those in Methodism, but still I don't feel right about it. I can "rationally" argue for me being "valuable" from the biblical point but I don't believe it, I don't want to, if more precisely. I feel like a withered branch (John 15), which cannot be "cured" anymore, so it's better to get rid off it before it starts harming others branches.
you save Sayori from -acking at the last moment (mc wakes up in the middle of the night, it sounds so similar to one real experience I know of, nothing short of divine providence but the game calls it luck), then sit by her at the hospital until she wakes up from a coma. after that it's what you would expect, friends come to check up on her. but monika notices that she can't manipulate the game like before, so she's going through confusion and I haven't played long enough to see what happens with her. later on we see Yuri cutting herself but we intervene. the mc isn't a perfect savior but he's doing his best. that's all for now folks
This is intriguing
marge I'm getting confused, is >>8139 a differentzaryan then?
but ok, I was a prot before, and a fiery one too. but you said it yourself, I felt tired from "justifications", it was like reading court documents. where was this deep ethereal love? I was intrigued by apophatic theology that Orthodoxy offered. it didn't try to put God in a box with all the definitions and such, if you get what I mean. you can just say "I don't know, this truth transcends our knowledge". it is too deep, it's entirely rational, but also entirely emotional, and also humbling. history also speaks for it, but that's another topic
why would God cut you off, if He sacrificed Himself for us? God never moves, it's us who fall into pits, into mud and filth. He's ready to reach out a hand when we remember Him, because our relationship is a synergy. there's so much worse people than you who became saints and an example to everyone.
do you have a big sin you deal with? there's some saint who fought it and overcame it. it's a struggle, we'll fall a million times, but as long as we keep rising up and striving, God will grant us strength
Picrel
Not gonna lie honestly I rather don't like the very essence of this apophatic theology
>>8156
Well, John 15 equates us, His people to a vine tree, and in real life, certain branches, which are even fruitful, get cut off as well as the withered ones, just to let more nutrients for oher branches, so they could harden, become wooden, and so their own shoots would appear on them. That's like when Hitler "sacrificed" his personal life, being left childless, so the rest of Germans could have children, more children than the could have had without Hitler (due to all the socio-economic and cultural stresses in the Weimar period). Truly though He sacrificed Himsefl for us. But for the whole tree, it's also truly upright to do the same, that's to say doing everything to help this "vine tree" in its struggle for existence and prosperity. This is what is to carry His cross, if you asked me, it is being altruistic.
What regarding me, I didn't expect this to evolve into a theological dispute, but ok, I have a big sin behind me, not mine, but that of my ancestors. I don't feel like I'm equal to thise "superior", I've felt... something, for a... person, who was of a higher middle class household, ideal, blameless and pure, while I was of a degradated, rather poor at some point, family, and so I believed we were incompatible, as if I was unworthy of. Of her. She reminds me of Monika, or Monika reminds of her, I tend to hate Yuri and despise/neglect Sayori for how I may appear to be similar to them. They aren't something that would be worth of protecting, like, already broken and harmed, and it's more appealing to my inner sense of sentimentality to care so that those who never experienced the pain would never experience it. There's something bright about those people who are generationally good, successful, talented, kind and outgoing, and about how they share this spark of light within them with everyone around. Yes they are like a lamp in darkness. I do admire them, and I don't know if it's really securing them if I am such a lesser, ignominious, base being. It looks to me like my rationally (I mean consciously) derived intentions are in conflict with my inward natural character. Not in the sense of the Protestant Guilt or their conception of the viceful, imperfect human nature or the Original Sin but something even lower, worse, and inferior. Something far more defective, something sub-human. Yes in the literal sense of it.
A rare romantic Ruthenski moment or im mistaking brabant namefags

here's an interpretation of the verse, if you'd like to read it
^Through the Holy Sacrament of Baptism, man is grafted onto Christ - the Vine. But he is strengthened on Him and organically united with Him more and more strongly with the help of the other holy sacraments and the holy evangelical virtues. Without these, although baptized, he slowly falls away from the Vine, deliberately does not feed on His life-giving leaps, and thus remains fruitless. The Father - the "vinedresser" follows every vine on His Vine with His all-seeing eye, and the lazy vine - he cuts off and throws it away. This is so beautifully expressed by the example of the fig tree that does not bear fruit for three years, and the owner (i.e. God) wants to cut it down, and the servant (i.e. the Son) asks to leave it for another year, and if it does not bear fruit even then, he will cut it down (Luke 13:7-9).

and as for your story, it's something you could turn into a solid melodrama
half-joke aside, don't beat yourself up over that, memento mori! always remember death. it's not depressing or nihilistic. on the contrary, doesn't it inspire you that you have the capacity to strive for goodness on the same level as a more prosperous person? they're not gonna bring all that money into the afterlife. in fact, it may even be a temptation that robs them of their calmness! I might be assuming but do you know her personal life? who knows what she deals with, may God help her and you too.
and nobody can truly call themselves "good" in the face of God, maybe before people, but compliments always turn into insults, and vice versa. God doesn't love us because we're good or bad, but because we're His.
>
that's that's why I love caring for sayori, she's always been a close friend (and even more than a friend, but not carnally I mean). and it extends to yuri and natsuki too as the story progresses and closeness is established.
I love underdogs and stories of redemption and I'd protect them precisely as you said it, because they're broken, because I also had many turbulences, and still do (however the mentality responding to them changes, which is key)
Now answer me nigga what does this all have to do with Dokie-Dokie Shitalian Club
Sorry I was too lazy to read until the last part. Nevermind.
>the mentality responding to them changes
I have noted it too, that Christianity leads one to become insane, which is authentic and is in consistency with the Bible, but now realizs the radically opposite directions of it: you and those like you become passively insane and eventually end up extremely tolerant to everything, whereas others become actively insane and end up extremely intolerant. I wanted to continue the thought but then refused this idea, so whatever, this citation attached shows for itself how incompetent those whom you borrowed this from were, they clearly never worked with a vine, as if separate branches could decide whether to refuse from the tree's feeding or not, and so on. Anyways it doesn't matter at all, as what I wanted to emphasize how showcasing it is of you to proudly talk about all these "turbulences", it's almost starting to look you feel ecstatic about suffering and such. Not what I expect from a Savior, but maybe of a "salvator" like you. Waifufagging some sick heads who have almost done ACKing themselves? How masculine of you! Durrh.
come to think of it, are you the same deluded soul that talked about having a revelation?
sorry to even bother typing, blvd...
it was a similar wall of text.
and you're not setting anything, talking to walls can get tiresome. but I know my efforts aren't in vain, I hope the lurking Zaryan appreciated it, they are the backbone of the new zarty order
