I would like to try hitting 10k on the zooru by Maya's birthday, which means reaching just over 56 posts per day overall for just under the next 90 days (this is likely to be a slightly smaller gap after the server-side mirror of all zellig content from the soybooru).
how (You) can help aside from also throwing up art (especially those you don't think have been posted on the zarty and not on any of the larger discord servers, since I have scraped nearly all of these, as well as posts tagged with or containing "ongezellig" on xitter from the last month or so). it would also be of great help if you take some time to review the unknown_artist tag, and identify any artists you know by tagging them--my means of image collection is such that I lose or miss most information about the creators of the images. Reverse image searching would also be fantastic if you're inclined to put in the effort, if not just to help create a list of artists who do or have ever drawn zellig art. I don't know if Zalt and co would prefer images that someone has already tried reverse searching for to be tagged accordingly so that time isn't being wasted there. thank you, god bless

I know this may be shocking to hear, but it's been this way nearly forever, certainly at least for a few years, and is definitely the case on the whole. there's not a ton I can do about this personally except encourage the creation of OC or again encourage zaryans to participate in uploading their own stuff they have saved instead of bitching. if zaryans at large have a problem with art from persons this site's userbase finds suspect or who have ever drawn porn or assorted woke stuff of zellig or otherwise then I can probably just stop posting altogether and instead recommend that 80% of the content that exists on the zooru even prior to my arrival be purged, perhaps along with the hundreds of goonbait and intentionally subversive pieces of content on there which actually originate from the zarty (see for instance, the drawfag active right now in the thread regarding the coco refugee image having a dedicated nsfw account on twitter) and have survived two database migrations over multiple years. frankly I don't find most of the newer content made here (ie, 5 gorillion minor soymy and agugu edits) valuable/gemmy enough to be assed to post it in favor of spending that effort on archiving art related to the show which the entire site is based around on in general, but I don't want to demoralize. again, you all hold power to counterbalance what sort of content is actively finding its way to the zooru, though as I said above, I will gladly try to make some affordances in that regard on my own part, if not just to please the userbase here. but for that matter, you can look at my post history on the zooru comprehensively and decide for yourself if the content I have uploaded as a whole seems like its in keeping with someone trying to smother zaryan culture. incidentally, I don't think most of the artists I'm uploading things from are going to be very pleased by their stuff being hosted on the zooru either, so don't imagine I'm doing it for their sake.
as I understand it, the booru is not an RSS feed of content pulled from the zarty--which I should point out already contains a thread dedicated to pulling content off of xitter along with countless threads featuring content from unfriendly offsite sources--but a functional searchable archive of art relating to the show in any capacity. nuadmin Booby, or maybe it was Zoot, has said this site prides itself on being a place for all things zellig, and I took it to mean the booru as an extension does so as well, with the obvious exceptions of porn, deep troonery/subversion, and/or vantablack brimstone. the last two being necessarily subjective to a degree, which I'm completely fine with hearing griping about, that's always been part of the discourse here. additionally, the zooru is in theory downstream of the zarty and not the other way around, so I don't imagine what's posted there will backflow here in any meaningful capacity. if you're worried about things you find gemmy being lost in the zooru under what you consider coal, then you too are free to tag stuff accordingly as well, and certainly free to give me a piece of your mind in the comments as many of you have been doing. or write to the admins to tell them to tell me to sod off.
above all else, Zalt and the other staff here hold final say and I will abide by their discretion. I was told by them at the start that the effort was appreciated and until I hear otherwise from them I don't have any intention on stopping the posting.

Take this as an opportunity to actually upload the stuff to the booru too, because there are plenty of new images that get made here every day and much more in the past that isn't posted there yet. Just stop being SLF and upload too, There isn't anything wrong with the images being uploaded, they abide by Zaryan standards and if they don't they will be dealt with appropriately. They might be not that interesting, sure, but that's what tagging is for, for finding what you are looking for.

There is nothing subversive about my drawings. Sure, I can see that there may be a problematic image you suspect that made it to the zooru, but that was uploaded from the previous zooru by Zute. Suffice to say, it was an idea I had that floated my mind, but at the time felt it was appropriate to make within the context of the show (the implied bed creaking, which was just Maya bopping it to Weezer, since that particular piece was a sequel of a drawing of Maya I made where she was listening to Weezer at bed). Also, some people also complained I made Coco's thighs too big in that particular piece, and gave Mymy bedroom eyes. I took that as valid criticism which carries onto my later works. I'm trying my best to illustrate the Schoppenboer sisters as close to the original flair of the show while also avoiding unnecessary elements such as emphasising bodily features. As you can see, I am also still working on that.

As for my NSFW account, which has scanty followers, let alone content (it has one image posted, unrelated to Ongezellig), I'm just keeping it as an NSFW account as well as an art dump for my works that wouldn't make it to my main profile, if you bothered to read the rest of the bio. This includes non-Ongezellig works that happen to be NSFW, though I've only had few instances where I diverged from the Ongegimmick to make this stance plusible. I kept the account protected because some of my followers on my main are minors, so it's at least my most sensible way of keeping them away from any porn I make, were I to make it. Of course, it's valid for you to suspect me, though in my defense I also have to assert that I would gain nothing from drawing Ongezellig porn. I have it as a rule of thumb that I will not draw it in any circumstance, even if I were paid for it.

I've also made it clear on my main profile that I would never make porn of the girls, perhaps Ongezellig in general. I've uploaded some of my stuff on the nuzooru personally, as well as the previous one under Zute. But that's why I'm also engaging with the Zarty as of late through my art, so I can gauge if I can make Zart without it being problematic. If you or some Zaryans do perceive me subversive, I'm here to state that I'm just a guy who likes drawing Zellig stuff and would like to draw for you Zaryans. I'm open to all criticisms you want as I am to continue making art for the Zarty. If you want me to stop, I can also do that

I've added a new tag, meta:general_fanart, which is meant for stuff that isn't directly or indirectly related to the Zarty or particularly interesting or significant images, the exact use of the tag is a case by case basis, there can be offsite art which doesn't need that tag. The general recommendation is that this tag is used for offsite art which isn't particularly interesting for Zaryans.
If you want to can add this tag to the filter option in (you)r user settings to personalize the browsing experience, if you really want to.
