It would be something like this:
Mymy: She was born in Kinshasa - Zaire but now lives near Kigali for some reason. She admits to being 100% Hutu and listens to RTLM.
Maya: She was born in Butare near Burundi. Mymy often teases her about her Tutsi heritage and supposedly being from Burundi. She is just as unsociable as the original.
Coco: She was born in Luanda - Angola but her parents died in 1980 during an armed conflict in the civil war. She is the friendliest of the 3.

Maya would be a mixed Indian/Tutsi/Belgian/Pygmy girl, average height and slightly darker than the original. Not much different otherwise.
Mymy would be a Malagasy inspired by Hotel Rwanda and other movies to LARP as one of the Interahamwe. She wears combat boots and carries an armband, and purposefully pains her skin black (she's actually a nice shade of brown).
Coco would be Zulu, with her parents being South African peacekeepers who died in Goma. She would look just like the other kids in class, except with slightly less kinky hair.
