Ongezellig

Recently I found out that Coco is a noble descendant of, basically, South-African “Founding Father”. In fact, her neé surname is Potgieter, and this means her ancestor is Hendrik Potgieter, a famous Boer colonist, the chief of the first voortrekkers, founder of Oranje Free State and Transvaal Republic, and many cities and towns in South Africa in addition.

Translation of the memorial plaque (third picrel) in Krugersdorp:
>Paardekraal, east facet, that reads:
>1837 A.H. Potgieter went with his company to the region now known as the Orange Free State, where on the south side of the Vaal river he was unexpectedly attacked by Mzilikazi who from the region north of the Vaal river, now district Marico, without provocation thereto launched this attack on him, and carried off white children besides all their livestock. Mzilikazi was in a quest to recover the children and livestock pursued and defeated by Potgieter and his Commandos. Mzilikazi fled from the country.
>1839 Potgieter trekked north traversing the Vaal river, found the land completely desolate and took possession of it and the basis was established for the existence of the Republic.
