You should all expect the price to be minimally 100 USD and maximally circa 200 USD. I’m not Zoot, but I’m pretty sure this is a good estimate. Contact him or me in https://soyzellig.party/contacts.html if you wish to purchase it, remember you have until September to change your mind!

Geg, if anything like that happens I would genuinely fedpost IRL

To all you complaining about the price, remember that 100 USD of it is a part of the godaddy contract renewal, if Zoot sells it for 100 USD he’d give it away with no net gain.

Please please please make it happen, Soyzellig is very gemmy and should keep on existing

Probably the right price considering he can't be bothered to check the site anymore

What turns me off about buying the place (would probably go up to 300-350) is that I wouldn't have a devmonkey to handle that side of things: spam attacks and things breaking.

Zoot created the site from scratch, his early mods had no developer skills and neither did zoot. We have a coder now, but we have never fully relied on one.
You should expect a few jannies and mods leaving, coder might stay.

>froot buys the site
>datamining and several captchas are added, can't post in incognito mode
>all vpns get banned
>'p spam suddenly reappears
>it stays up for hours for some reason
>nsfw gets unbanned, huge influx of /co/ immigrants
>sharty immigrants spam the site with slopzellig edits and coinslot
>namefagging is encouraged
>all boards get reduced to 10 pages
>all images have to be approved by FBI before getting posted
>a new /coco/ board gets added specifically for racebaiting

Funny but unironically 'p spam WILL appear if any of the soy admins take over, even old ones like doll or root, maybe even angeleno too if he falls out of graces with der cord. They're all targeted by these cord groups.

this will be the gem that will either save or annihilate the zarty
this will be the gem that will either save or annihilate the zarty
If there will be no official buyer should we do some sort of crowdfounding campaign to financially fund Zoot to keep the zarty up and running??

I think if we didn't spam "ZOOOOOT" in every fucking thread, Zoot would not behave like this.

I guess Zoot has good reasons why sticking around zellig community is a bad idea, maybe you guys should wait for his explanation and only then make a decision.
Zaryans made it
They're the only one
Rest of 'teens, no
But... we tried
In the end
We did.

Yes... it was our way.
OP has a point albeit, whether zarty shuts down or not, archive gemmy threads and images you would like future generations to see
check out what threads/images are archived right now https://archive.md/soyzellig.party
check out what threads/images are archived right now https://archive.md/soyzellig.party
it says that it shuts down in SEPTEMBER doe and not tomorrow therefore stop panicking. if this thread was never created the admins wouldnt even tell us until august at least
If you want to archive the entire site use wget on your terminal and enter the following command:
wget -mpEk "https://soyzellig.party"
certain parts of the site may not be archived well, such as /v/ and zelligwiki
I have a backup of the site from July 1st, it's roughly ~10GB so be weary when archiving

this is good for personal archives, but we must archive the gemmy threads and images on archive.md for future generations to easily see them in the future

I'm a lazy man, I don't want the work that comes with making changes. If I buy the site I'll maintain the server and just hand administration over to the jannies.

Man... I try to refrain from doom-posting but this is sad. Don't forget, whatever happens, ongezellig will always be awesome and most importantly, a gem.
