It's so I can add the clothing/cosmetics for the character after finishing the base figure, kind of like how you would draw with weaker strokes on paper before drawing in more strong, confident strokes when a design is finalized.

The differing colors also help seperate the clothing/cosmetics, especially on more complex artwork.

It's Tvpaint 11, the same art program Massa used for the early deels
Yes you can import images and whatnot, the app is mainly for hand-drawn animation though so if you want dynamic rigging, the best animation software option is Moho

Tvpaint might seem a little complicated at first, but you can easily change the shortcuts and it's got a pretty good workflow, for Moho im unsure since I haven't pirated it and it requires a keygen
