Hi I'm new to Ongezellig and I'm wondering where I can get more info on the characters and stuff. Like I see people talk about Eiko and their parents and stuff but I haven't seen them in the show. Thanks in advance)

i got most of my info of the characters off the ‘zellig wiki, where a google drive of all ‘zellig paypig art can be found (which gives a lot more insight of the characters), and i believe there is also a paypig call between massa and his dutch patreon supporters where he gave more knowledge about ongezellig

Most stuff can be gleaned from the paypiggy art. Only other thing I can add that I don't think is known is that Zoey was imagined by Massa as a potential friend for Maya (said in a stream once).

Eiko doesn't look 100% Japanese. Could she be mixed race like Maya? In Hikikomymy, she appears taller than her mother when she was little, and in the Mymy poster photo, she has a larger chest than Mymy or her mother, and her hair is a different color. She also has purple eyes. Could she be another mixed-race mutt like Maya?

Not a fan of Mymy being a runaway, considering we have photos of her when she was much younger, contemporaneous with Maya and Coco's from Deel 1. Unless she ran away at 6, the adoptive story speaks far more to what I've seen with adopted kids from different races. They'll see their abandonment as an insult and rejection, and grow resentful to their original ethnicity in favor of emulating their adoptive family, whom to them are the exemplars of charity and goodwill. Of course, they can never be their caretakers' ethnicity, which creates much conflict.

Perhaps Eiko is the product of an affair and Mymy (Meiko) is the legitimate daughter, with her new partner (husband).
Eiko doesn't look 100% Japanese; she has colored eyes, a different hair color than Mymy, and a curvier figure compared to Mymy's. In the Hikiko Mymy illustration, she appears to be taller than her mother. It's possible that Eiko was conceived with a foreigner outside of marriage.

She was sixteen when Mymy arrived in the Netherlands.
In the pilot, she is already twenty-six.
