I am here to announce that i have made a decision. I shall not sell the site to anybody else, as I feel that this would be for the worse (if we are to learn from sharty or website history in general). I will continue to be the head admin (or atleast the guy who pays for the servers).
However, due to the fact that ongezellig and its demoghraphic has changed, i don't see a future for the site if we continue to be the "sharty zellig site". For this, i shall rebrand the site to be focused more on general OC creation, such as art, music, programming ect. Worry not, the site shall keep its identity as the zarty and it shall not forget it's origin, culture and history.
The boards shall be orginised like this:
/q/ shall stay
/zellig/ and /qa/ shall be merged and /zellig shall become the main general board
/brabant/ shall stay
/co/ shall be removed, as its was a failed experiment and the topics in there could easilly be disscused in /zellig/
/raid/'s fait is unknown for now
new OC boards shall be added - /art/, /music/, /writting/, /coding/
if you have better names for boards or have new board ideas in generl, let me know.
Old threads may be lost. An archive of these threads shall be made.

Valiant effort but I fear it may have been insufficiently thought through. The site was made to harbor soyteens that liked zellig, and it's identity was as such, not as an ongezellig website, but a website for a certain, specific demographic with an established history. It was made to grow with people discovering the show or discovering the soysphere, this isn't a reliable or big source of newcomers but it's what we had, if we try to make the site general purpose or more broad it won't fundamentally change anything about it. We won't be tapping into a new demographic, or expending our current appeal, or gaining publicity or anything. It's for the most part going to be a cosmetic change with no effect on the userbase's demographics. At least that's my rationale. I think our fate is mostly sealed with little potential for a change in course, another niche altchan with a dwindling demographic of oldfags with no appeal to outsiders (imagine being some cluelessfag and seeing a weird 4chan where evryone is obsessed with some orange cartoon girl, would you join it for "making OC"?).
But don't take this as a disagreement on my part with your decision or your diagnosis, I mostly don't, I'm just not hopeful. It is what it is.

Interesting take on the situation and i do agree that for now the demographic will stay the same, but i think that we still have a chance of growing (in a healthy manner) and shift a bit the purpose of this site.

I find this funny. Isnt 4chan sort of the same thing? It started out as some place to sperg out about anime and slowly it grew to be a giant, who is known for creating a lot of internet memes afaik.
Again, i also account for the possibility this site dying, but i just wish to have a go at this idea.

I am going now to open "Yuri thread general" and somehow be able to post 'zellig smut? No. Why is that thread any different? Why is it still up? Or at least cave the actual porn.
So, what happened, and what will happen?
A bit of background history first doe. September 2023, Zoot, with the help of the first 3 mods, created the IB we all cherish to this day. The domain is hosted by a company called godaddy, zoot entered a contract with them on the 26th of September determining that the site would be in his hands for 1 full year. Zoot had no experience coding, he had no experience with IBs, but he pushed through and we all live to tell the tale.
But as we all know, all good things come to an end, in timely perspectives, faster than others. When Massa cancelled Ongezellig, it went nothing but downhill for Führer Zoot. Slowly, he’d be on less and less, he told me that he was living life; staying away from social media when he could. Eventually, 1 day inactivity grew to 2, then to 3, then to 4, then to 5 and periods happened where you’d pray he wasn’t mauled by a bear in the Bulgarian mountains.
I thought to myself: “when summer rolls around he’ll be back!”. Yet that possibility seems less and less likely by each day, hence why I make this thread.
He gave admin to his most active and experienced moderator, and we hear from him not as often as you’d expect from an IB owner.
We’re now soon done with July, September is approaching, and as much as I want you all to stay blissfully ignorant I want you all to be prepared for the unlikely, yet possible, scenario where the site never goes up again.
Zoot is a good man, I’ve known him for almost a year now and he’s one of the best leaders you could ask for.
I don’t like speaking for Zoot, after all he isn’t dead yet, when he comes back I will tell him to talk to all of you and your questions specifically in this thread.
All the selling shit will be done through Zoot himself, I really can’t give reliable answers on the possible sale of the domain. I’m considering purchasing it myself so you will all be in safe hands, but I’m to give this thought some more consideration.

Right now I am playing fortnite save the world to get some goodboy points for the battlepass and I wanted to listen to some politics, to my dismay the internet is generally very left-wing biased, demonizing anything slighty to the right of the spectrum.
Call me a fed, glowie or whatever, but I want to ask you about websites/forums/alternatives where I can get some quality neutral opinions on politics or right-wing biased politics, doesn't matter if europe or america.
