It's also a national security risk for western counties, so you'd think governments would want to do something about it, but they are incompetent. Many people get their news through twitter, and I bet many news sites are on cloudflair too not to mention other communication sites that use cloudflair, so if a hostile actor uses the massive compute they have access to, to attack cloudflair while doing another attack it could be serious trouble.

According to this article https://w3techs.com/technologies/breakdown/ws-cloudflare/ranking (https://archive.ph/OdjDK), half of the top 100 000 websites use cloudflair, and 25% of all websites use it, scary stuff.
