But since you asked, I can say that I basically read Sheldon Emry on this matter. In nutshell, the meaning of "Satan" depends on the context, and can mean an enemy, adversary, deceiver, liar, slanderer, and so on. It should be the tendency to evil innate in all humans. Although I don't deny that could also mean "some physical beings" or "whole families", or "races", "of some physical beings" (I still remember that the Devil from the very beginning of the Scripture is a "field beast"). Believing in the nonsense borrowed from the Jews and the Gnostics is Catholicism, don't be a fool and don't bother your head with all sorts of the "invisible to the eye" demons.

you only need old greek for the OT as well, since the Septuagint is the only reliable source.
Old greek is goat. I know a little bit of Church Slavonic and I could hypothetically learn old Greek as well. I just need some resources.
