i'd like to believe that too, and that is the implication HE went for, but it's honestly drawn with way too much care and effort for us to completely rule out the possibility that he just really wanted to draw a fat chick, and used the zooru going down as an excuse to do so.
although personally speaking as an artist myself, i think maybe we all just have a certain tendency to depict things, even things we don't like, as best as we possibly can, just out of principle.
