Laya used to have a small "normal" fanbase during beginning of her streaming career, maar after her online presence was discovered by users of anonymous image board "zogrty" her fanbase was quickly flooded and replaced with inviduals that we can currently see on her livestreams chats. Also in chapter 2 she is going to end her streaming career out of spite of zoiets

I try to minimize engaging with this board directly but I genuinely need to ask like... what makes you think my comic and my interpretation of the characters as adults are meant to be "zarty culture"? I changed the chat because having the same 4-5 people in a chat with that many viewers was unrealistic, which was done after implementing feedback from THIS board. And the chat =/= the zarty, ig you could say that those with the edgy usernames are. But who on the fucking zarty would choose a username like "Emmaleighxxx" or "LouisiannaFantastica". Reading those names and going "IT'S LITERALLY US!11111!" is entirely on you.

The event gets talked on the 'zelligcords and chalked up to "incomprehensible racists", gets an entire page on the zelligwiki and then the jannies finally move it to /chive/ and enact "Anti-retard policy #thrembobbcnigger".

but to be serious for a moment, please do take everything people say to you with a grain of salt, most of us who are getting "mad" at you are literally just messing with you, because it's funny to do that to people online.
I understand that zarty culture pretty much surrounds about "literally being Maya" and relating to her and all that, which I know is also the reason her sudden change was not very well-received at first. But this is exactly the reason I made that longass xitter thread earlier explaining that the comic is not supposed to be comic. For the sake of both me and yourselves, please view it as a spin-off and nothing more. If viewing them as "Laya, Lymy and Loco" or whatever the fuck helps you view them as not canon then by all means continue doing so.
