How many of you plays someking of instrument?
I have heard that in Netherlands students mvst organise themselvesls in music bands and play on any instrument.

i play the piano, i'm not really good though
i used to play the drums on school but i got replaced by someone better
In Japan, at least in some high schools, music class requires you to learn an instrument of your choosing and play a song together as a band as a project.
When I was young my parents forced me to play some instrument. So I chose the saxophone. I have been playing it for 7 1/2 years.

When I went to a Steiner School (hecking trad school for real patriQts) we had to choose instruments to play and I chose the flute.

Steiner schools aren't like regular danish schools, they're more focused on physical labor and creativity more than general knowledge. We also did a lot of drama plays in the great hall.
The thing that didn't click for me was my stupid arrogance, at the time i was ahead of my fellow classmates when it comes to knowledge of say everything, today i'm just another average intelligence pleb.
I got too far ahead of myself and i thought that it would be smart for me to switch to a regular school when i was in 3rd grade.
I loved the steiner school, everything was so adventerous and fun. I left it all behind, my friends and all that i had learnt just for a stupid other education that wouldn't have changed much. I hate myself for it, I'm so fucking stupid and arrogant.
Anyway, sorry for the long monologue, it was fucking great, and i still miss it even though i'm in college now.

You could go all the way up to 12th grade in steiner schools. It's a good starter for vocational education in college, tbf that isn't a pursuit i desire, yet it was still 100x more fun than the zogged public school education.

In America we call them Waldorf schools because the discussions of it came from a cigarette factory of the same name. Instead of kids sitting at desks all day there is a lot of play time where imagination is encouraged, children aren't grouped by their age, and academic activities are more lax and let you go at your own pace. It's similar to Montessori school in its fundamentals though the complaint about Montessori is that kids turn out unwilling to compromise in general when they think they're right.

I used to play the Akkordeon and Violin but thanks to our excellent school system I stopped playing and started learning fucking Chemistry
