WARNING SNCA AHEAD
I think its very interesting how the soysphere reflects real world politics and ideology. It can be reasonably assumed that a majority of soyteens and the higher ups who rule those soyteens (i.e jannies, mods, admins) would identify as fascist and the way that reflects in how the site is run. in many ways the site is run how a fascist dictatorship is run.

  1. Ultranationalism: The sharty has an incredibly strong cultural identity within
it. to be accepted in the sharty you must use soyjaks(duh),
you must not proclaim interests that go against their
culture(i.e tranime, troonslop, nigger-rap), you are
expected to have certain irl political beliefs
(being right wing) and you are frowned upon for having
    sympathy for other nations (splinters)

  2. One-Party Totalitarian state- this goes for most websites but the janny cabal
is generally acting under one political belief
(sootism, kuzism, quotism, etc...) at the behest
of all powerful individual(the owner) and they
often use propaganda to indoctrinate their
    subjects(splinter false-flags)

  3. Palingenesis- similar to how hitler called back to the Germanic-warriors of
old without necessarily actually adopting their beliefs the
sharty does a similar thing. they often call back to the /qa/
and soot eras without actually adopting their beliefs. for
example, zellig was always /qa/ culture but the sharty now hates
it, why is it that way? similar to how fascist purged what they
saw as decadent the sharty purges what it views to be against
their ideal vision of a soyteen so for that so for hat reason
anime and zellig had to be purged as they did not fit the ideal.
now for this specific process i doubt this is by the
administration but rather it is just natural selection.

i was going to include more reasoning behind these claims but it was too long so feel free to ask me in the replies

It's a decent comparison, however there remains the factor that the users of the site want to be there and could leave any time they please, which isn't the case for absolute states where you will be locked up or killed if you try to defect, this does change the dynamic of the site's power-relations in subtle but impactful way.

this is trve but i believe participating in or defecting to a hostile splinter will get you a permaban. if i had to make real life analogy's to this then i would say leaving the soysphere in genera(including splinters)would be equivalent to a citizen dying whereas someone moving to a hostile soysphere site would be analogous to defecting to the enemy's. but this analogy doesn't really account for departing for a non-hostile splinter so it is not perfect

ive also thought about it in the sense that compared to an actual fascist society where people might just be putting on an act so they don't get killed, almost everyone on the sharty has a degree of ideological fervor which definitely makes these attributes more pronounced

Fucked up the formatting award
The third point has some ground to stand on but you forget what actually happened and it's that the soicacas of 2023 naturally converged towards the new admin: Doll. And what did he do? He started to be a massive rulecucker leading the site like shit. But since he was the admin that put him above such things. Keep doing something for enough time and you end up with our situation, the purges did happen but not for 'zellig and not naturally, it was 100% the fault of the admins
