>>79669>I think I read the bar post some time agoMy apologies, but can you remind me of what that post was? I think i made such analogy during doll era, but it was a long time ago (time flies by hahaha!).
>>79673Interestingly enough, /qa/ during doll era sharty had its own charm. It was a low pph board and people would focus on a few threads, depending on their subculture.
You had this "minority" vibe. By this i mean that you were a part of a small group and you had a stronger connection with people, even if they were "anonymous". Since Red (or however that guy who deleted the AI threads and the "30 day stay = /zellig/" thread was named) was targeting zelligaryans and Doll was basically opening the gates to migrants, that connection got stronger.
But yeah, Doll screwed us (as in soyteens) pretty well. I am sad that tribalism became a thing. Before that, i would compare the sharty to a country that had a strong national identity, but you still could observer regional identities/ subcultures as well. It was beautiful. Not perfect, but still.
>>79672Indeed. I think that the removal of the "5 board" doctrine on the sharty was a huge mistake. As more boards got created, /qa/ started to loose its charm and purpose and at one point it became a namefaggin place with SNCA.
I still hated how the new mods and some people would tell me that 5b plan was a failure. It was one of the things that kept the site organic. They would argue that Kuz coudnt even keep up with his own plan, which i do agree to some degree. I do not know why /int/ and /pol/ were separate boards, when they were basically the same.
