>>144491 to answer OPs question, get a framework laptop if you want a laptop that you can slowly upgrade over the next 10 years and are willing to pay a premium. if you want something to just last you 4 or so years (but can last much longer) get a thinkpad t14. the gen6 come out a few weeks ago but its better value for money to get a gen5 on sale or gen4 are dirt cheap now. theyre all extremely repairable and will do anything you need it to. dont listen to faggots trying to convince you to get a 8 year old dual core thinkpad thats been came on hundreds of times
