Douyin and Tiktok are functionally walked off from each other and are basically separate ecosystems. Tiktok is blocked in China so someone must've used a VPN, and likewise you can't access Douyin unless you have a Chinese ID/number in the first place. So I improvised but I can't figure out how to download stuff from douyin directly yet (I think you have to use yet another third party app like WeChat).
