The burn out was the reason for stopping ongezellig, the burn out was caused by combining his main job with basically a second animation job for ongezellig for years then also pitching afterwards. If he had money so he could work on ongezellig only, forgoing his main job, he would not have become burnt out, so it does go back to the issue of money in the root cause.
