>>109600 I think it’s completely fair to write more for a character if you want to make them better friends with Coco in a fic, if you only stick to what is canon, then you couldn’t write anything new. The important thing is to keep new information grounded and have it be built off of what we DO know. We do know that Coco is friends to some extent with basically everyone in their class because Maya says not being Coco’s friend is an achievement. I think it is Soei’s parents that run a store in the Mayamails because Maya says if she goes there during the party she will be getting unlimited spring rolls, but they don’t seem old enough to be dying of natural causes.
