So it lingers in her head, that if she just tried talking to people and reaching out more she could actually make a friend. That knowledge probably makes her miserable because now on top of feeling lonely she feels guilty knowing she is at least partly to blame for it, and she still feels incapable of doing the reaching out that would be needed, making her feel even more guilty. <but loneliness is an extrovert conspiracy
