>>106789 this project was never about chasing trends or forcing a certain genre into the world of Ongezellig. I didn’t set out to make the heaviest track, or the most experimental one, because that’s not what the series is about. Ongezellig has its own unique vibe: quiet, reflective, sometimes absurd, and I wanted the music to respect that atmosphere rather than fight against it. yes, the songs lean toward pop rock. that wasn’t a betrayal of my taste, but a choice to fit the mood and tell the story in a way that actually works. nu metal and heavier sounds will always be part of who I am, but not every canvas needs to be painted with distortion. here, melody felt like the truest way to connect. this album is also the result of exploring AI tools, not as a shortcut, but as a way to bring something new into the fandom. I know there are already amazing creators like Idostuff and Markmoon making Ongezellig music, but I felt there was room for a different voice, a project built with care for the community, not just for myself. Three Rooms exists because I wanted Ongezellig to have more music. simple as that.
