>>36912 finally, a thoughtful digest of the show. adding to this, the depiction of that 'antisocial sibling relationship' dynamic gave me a lot to think about, and its something i haven't seen in any other media really (i dont consoom enough). starts out as a typical disagreement or misunderstanding, and a feedback loop ensues; coco on the outside doesn't understand maya, tries unsuccessfully to relate, and only causes further alienation. It's hard to explain it concisely but it makes sense to me. I also like the hint we get at Maya's outlook towards her two sisters, in Maya's head Coco is an elegant, princess-like figure many levels above her due to her nature as a social butterfly. And Mymy is just annoyingly energetic (spongebob). Its humorous to us as viewers but neither is a positive outlook, its either jealousy or plain distaste.
