What is more, Coco proved herself to be very competent when she needed to make a presentation on South Africa on a tight deadline, and she was able to read and process the paragraph about Belgian history very quickly, which is a sign of normal intellect. She wasn't always depicted like a complete moron, and when she was, it was just for humour's sake.
