Firstly, it's genetically traced that they are clustered with the South Italians. It doesn't mean they have a western heritage, it means the Moors have a jewish heritage

It was just a bunch of turkic tribes converted through some edomite immigrants to Judaism, they hadn't ever migrated to Europe, also they were just a state-forming  superstratum, nothing more.
