We have been the most invasive species since we began colonizing other people's land. Our intelligence, but mainly our free will allows us to defy the natural order of nature.
Our species does not have a way of behaving, we are the most chaotic species, and yet we are easily controlled by outside forces to follow their narratives because we as a species still mostly rely on our emotions to act rather than our intelligence. We lack the qualifications to exercise our free will and that has lead centuries of ignorance, destruction and suffering. The truly intelligent 
at the top pillage and plunder the inferior into staying submissive while they continue to stay on top.
You could give a fat, overweight man a gun and he'll be able to kill multiple muscular men at the right opportunity with ease.
