It has almost the same rules as English, but some of the words are more similar to Latin ones (I am genuinely convinced someone with no prior knowledge of Dutch could get at least 50% of a sentence right, I know I did), and getting to understand when to swap the subject during sentences and where to put the verbs gets you a feeling of accomplishment that it's hard to find these days. And if you're trying to learn German but for some reason it's "too hard", Dutch is a good starting point to get you familiarized with some of the Germanic roots and rules. French instead is French. Which way Zaryan?
