Yes, a lot of people complained about MyBB. I only tried to give it a chance because its one of the few free options for bulletin boards. At the end, people wont use a convoluted alternative when there are better options out there. This was the number one problem.

The dev's idea of building the site from scratch is fascinating. It really opens up the doors for how the site will look/function. And it is an opportunity to learn more about coding (thats on my part). 

I was thinking of making a parody film advertising the club. The second problem (which was also caused mainly by the first) is that we were a bit too short when it came to manpower. At max we had 30 people registered (maybe a bit more), but a lot were inactive or mainly lurked. Of course, if I advertised the site in its previous form, i dont think that it would have made much of a difference (most people woudnt want to deal with mybb). So this is a step two of our reopening plan.
