This is not a "refugees welcome" website and I genuinely don't know how you got the idea it is. It's not about censorship too, it's basic social hygiene, 99% of posters are not negatively impacted by banning the obsessed spammers simply because it's not them who get banned. And actually there were multiple requests, reports and even mails asking for the clean-up, so you are the minority.
