And "current times" is hardly an excuse, moral law and word of God are eternal, they don't contort to your environment, on the contrary, you're supposed to uphold them in environments hostile to God's word.

The fact that you perceive getting married to be a "herculean task" (even doe most people still get married) changes nothing. Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
