It pretty much debunks itself really. It opens by stating the article is about “sexual activities *among* youth under 18”, then in the next section shifts the goalposts to relationships between minors and adults “it is supposed that as a child develops his or her age preference adjusts […] in line with his or her age. This […] is easily dismissed as ethnocentric to Western cultures”. So they’re making an argument that’s completely divorced from their study and calling people who disagree with” ethnocentric, or racist.

Furthermore their study covers everything from two 16 year olds having sex to masturbation. And demonstrates that coercion and sexual abuse (both of which are widespread in minor/adult relationships) cause psychological harm. There’s no issue with a 17 year old and 18 year old getting it on, but to pretend that means 50/9 is OK is just disingenuous.
