I think the most that will happen in the next two years is a digital ID, that will be a replacement of stuff like ID cards, driver's license etc. They may or may not make it mandatory. Do not take it, st. Paisios, for example, has said that this will be a proto-"mark of the beast". As to if this digital ID will only be relevant for a short time or will be a long term ting, idk. The world will be a mess in these next two years. IDK if the current big tech social media will be a thing (total twitter/cord/goyslop death).

If these IDs do happen and they restrict internet access, then a lot of sites (like the zarty) will pretty much be screwed for a short/long while (if the majority of internet hosts dont get nuked or destroyed in other ways). So download archives on hard disks, do not rely on archive.org. Of course, i also think that we all would have greater problems to worry about then to wonder how will we preserve and present the zarty to the next generations.

Ditch Steam, you are throwing money at the void and there's prob a good chance they are also datamining to the brim.

Also iirc VPNs can still be tracked and they do not give any anonymity. A better choice is Tor, buuuuutttt the ultimate privacy measure is using the internet as little as possible.

 

The reality is that the current base form of the internet is screwed. Someone needs to make a Internet 2.0 to address those issues.
