Why is this an exceptionally bad decision?

Firstly, the quantity. The number of migrants was clearly chosen deliberately - to solve at least the problems associated with the lack of labor in one fell swoop. However, with such a number, Pakistanis will easily form their own linguistic and cultural enclaves, as they did with great haste in Great Britain. These enclaves will be absolutely impregnable for our social services and security forces, no one will know what will happen there until it is too late.

Secondly, the gender composition of the specialists. Pakistan is a very conservative Muslim country. Women sit at home. The “young specialists” will be strong young men, very interested in sexual relations without the consequences of marriage. In Pakistan, this is extremely strict, they can even kill, but Belarus is practically an erotic paradise for them, since Christian women are perceived as second-class citizens. We do not believe that young specialists will come strictly in pairs with a “code of exemplary behavior” in their pocket.

Thirdly, how exactly will "young professionals" integrate into Belarusian life? Pakistanis mainly speak Urdu, broken English and other languages, but not Belarusian or Russian. Can you imagine doctors or bus drivers like these? They are not even Tajiks.

Fourthly, accepting 150 thousand people is a huge challenge for the infrastructure of Belarus. This will require significant resources to provide housing, transport and utilities.

Fifthly, social problems.  New arrivals will receive a number of social privileges and increase competition, which will lead to justified envy on the part of Belarusians and program social conflicts.

In short, there is a feeling that someone in the Belarusian government really wants to aggravate the social crisis inside the country, nodding towards Russia, saying, look how well they are doing with migrants. Lukashenko does not understand either demography or sociology, it is easy for him to draw a beautiful picture of diligent and obedient Pakistanis ready to loyally increase the country's GDP. However, all this will end the same way as the story with COVID. The question is, who benefits from this?
