It's ok. The first one isn't hugely representative of Afrikaners, rather Euro-South Africans in general (I'm anglo and I live in the Transvaal). Also I'm not a big fan of any imagery on flags tbh (my main issue with the union flag). The second one's nice. I think it works better with the oranje (especially if you're trying to make it representative of Afrikaners specifically)
