Not fast enough, accelerate it somehow. Also I haven't mentioned ideology anywhere, the problem with them is the confrotational mindset that tells them to look for enemies where are none and antagonize neighbours for no real benefit (but the old people are happy, I guess.)

True, but they also can have their nationalistic moment and declare that since im 1488 B.C. warlord Cing Ciang owned this particular piece of Russian soil so it is forever their and they want it back. Being too dependent on a single supplier is a huge vulnerability.
