If that was the case we wouldn't have this discussion, as every zellig poster was once a newGOD that got "brainwashed", i.e. simply liked the show. If anything, we were so successful that people who didn't want zellig being posted on a soyjak website because it hurt their delicate feelings didn't have any other way to stop it, like counter-brainwashing into believing it's "forced coal", that they had to start the most intensive and most consistent "ban everything I don't like" bitching campaign in the history of the sharty, eventually forcing jannies to actually remove it.

It's obvious this guy had a theory why zellig dominated the /qa/ log while according to him being a forced coal, it was because zellig posters were so active in making new threads that any other thread made by a person that wanted to have a genuine conversation was not made due to the thread limit or was slid into oblivion. Obviously, if you make such assumptions, then ban on zellig makes sense as it will allow these genuine threads to be posted. Needless to say, his hopes failed to materialize, no such threads appeared. With no zellig posters, antizellig posters also moved somewhere else and the board mostly died.

We have our own splinter, the expectations of us staying away from the sharty and simultaneously making OC for it are silly to say the least. We have tons of OC here that isn't yet another variant of a slopjak, but with one more award and different flags, all despite having 100 times less PPH than the sharty.

Really? So I guess the removal of zellig thread unclogged the log and finally non-spam threads are made and the board enjoys a decent, non-artificial PPH, right? Of course no, and if you have a board that nobody wants to post in then whatever topic you will choose to post will eventually dominate its log, not because of spam, but because there are no other threads to balance it as no one else cares.
